GALA ND/SMC, is pleased to host the Fourth Annual NYC LGBT Student Scholarship Benefit taking place on Sunday November 18, 2018 at 4:00pm.  Join fellow alumni and friends for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and camaraderie to raise money for the LGBT Student Scholarship Fund.

To completion your registration, go to the "REGISTER" button at the bottom of the page.

The benefit will be hosted once again by Phil Donahue ’57 and his wife Marlo Thomas’ at their beautiful apartment overlooking Central Park.  Since the fund’s inception, members & friends have contributed over $115,000 of the $250,000 target.  Our goal for this year’s event is $50,000.

Student Speaker – Joining us for the afternoon will be 2018/2019 Student Scholarship Recipient Tim Jacklich ND '20.  Tim is very excited to meet the ND NYC LGBT Alumni & Friends and share his experience as the scholarship recipient.  Tim is entering his junior year at Notre Dame, where he majors in history and Spanish. He has been active in Student Government’s Department of Gender Relations, the annual LGBTQ retreat, and the Notre Dame Glee Club.

In addition to the main event, there will be a unique opportunity to talk with host Phil Donahue ’57 at a special VIP Reception starting at 3:00pm.

Registration - Completed registration/payment is required prior to the event (by Wednesday 11/14, although it is expected be filled prior to that).  Discounted registration levels are offered for GALA dues paying members ($100) and for students & recent ND/SMC grads ($25 & $50 respectively).  To ensure the discounted member rate, remember to log in first.  Not a paid member, go to GALA Members and sign up.  A "wait list" will be available for non ND/SMC alums if needed and will be opened up ~ 1 week prior to the event.  Note - Unless otherwise indicated, registration is not recognized as a tax deductible contribution.

Alumni Weekend – This fundraising event will be part of an overall NYC Fall Alumni Weekend, including the 2018 ND Shamrock Series being played at Yankee Stadium.  Additional events will be planned over the three days (Friday Nov 16 – Sun Nov 18).  Check back for more details.

Scholarship Donations – Even if you are unable to attend the benefit, you can still help out by making a tax deductible donation to the scholarship fund here.
